Oaxacan federation launched in Valley

The Consulate of Mexico in Fresno and 14 presidents of hometown associations of Oaxaca are launching a new coalition of the associations, Federación Mixteco de Oaxaca del Valle Central de California.

Consul Vicente Sánchez Ventura and the hometown association presidents will meet Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Tulare County Fairgrounds, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Tulare.

The Oaxacan community is one of the largest Mexican communities in California, and its members share a strong social fabric.
