Kings Co. mom jailed in child's truancy

The Fresno BeeDecember 13, 2013

A Kings County woman was arrested Thursday on a $100,000 warrant after failing to appear in court numerous times over her child's truancy, the Kings County Office of Education said.

Missy Galvan, 36, was booked into the Kings County Jail on the warrant issued by the Kings County Superior Court.

The charges against Galvan resulted from a complaint filed against her by the Kings County School Attendance Review Board. Her child was truant from Bret Harte Elementary School in Corcoran during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 schools years.
