Woman dies in single-car crash on Highway 99 in Tulare

A 32-year-old Tulare woman was killed Wednesday night in a one-car crash on Highway 99 in Tulare, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash happened about 6:30 p.m., north of Road 200. The woman was southbound in a Mitsubishi Eclipse when she lost control of the car, which went into a spin, crashed through a chain-link fence and slammed into a tractor.

The woman, later identified as Patricia Ledesma, was dead at the scene, the CHP said.
