Fresno Unified School District is seeking public input on two grant applications that could secure more money for literacy and credit recovery programs.

The grants, which are disbursed by the California Department of Education, would also help fund summer school programs and community learning centers.

Submissions are due on Dec. 12. Anyone who wants to give input on the grants can contact Fresno Unified's grants office at (559) 457-3186.

The reporter can be reached at (559) 441-6412, hfurfaro@fresnobee.com or @hannahfurfaro on Twitter.
