Kaiser-Fresno seeking applicants for 2014 grants

The Fresno BeeDecember 9, 2013

Kaiser Permanente-Fresno is accepting applications from nonprofits, government entities and public agencies for its community benefits grants.

Applications will be accepted through Jan. 3.

Proposals will be accepted from those organizations that serve the communities within the Kaiser Permanente Fresno Service Area and meet at least one or more of the funding priorities outlined in the 2014 grant guidelines.

Funding priorities for 2014 are for projects to increase healthy eating with special emphasis on the African-American, Hispanic and Hmong populations; increase physical activity with special emphasis on low-income neighborhoods; increase the number of diabetics with well-managed disease; and improve asthma management for lower-income, high-risk individuals.
