Hanford high schools lift lockdown

Hanford and Hanford West high schools were placed on lockdown for about two hours Monday following "a vague online threat of gun violence," Superintendent William Fishbough said Monday.

Police and school administrators ended the lockdown before lunch after deciding the campuses were safe, an announcement from the Hanford Joint Union High School District said.

The lockdown also affected non-traditional high schools in Hanford, the district said.
