University of Phoenix and American Red Cross send Christmas cards overseas

University of Phoenix in Fresno will participate in "Holiday Mail for Heroes," an American Red Cross program that sends cards from the community to military members during the holidays.

The cards will be sent to deployed active-duty service members and military families stationed overseas. The cards are to thank military members for their sacrifice.

Cards can be dropped off or signed at the University of Phoenix Central Valley Campus at 45 River Park Place West in north Fresno. Cards will be accepted weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until Dec. 2.
