Steinbeck Elementary students given new coats

FresnoNovember 20, 2013

Steinbeck Elementary third-grader Alize Horstman beams with delight at her new coat as Ketti Davis, assistant superintendent of professional development with Central Unified School District, looks on during the annual Foundation of Central Schools Coats for Kids program Wednesday morning.

Thirty-seven Steinbeck students were the first to receive their new coats at Steinbeck Elementary through the annual program.

Central Unified, along with representatives from the Foundation of Central Schools and Granville Homes, will distribute more than 700 new coats and sweatshirts to children in need within the school district.

The new coats were distributed to 20 school sites throughout the morning hours Wednesday.
