Fresno police have interviewed more than 20 people while investigating a fight that left a man in critical condition Saturday night at the Elbow Room restaurant in Fig Garden Village.

Lt. Mark Salazar of the department's Street Violence Bureau said more interviews are planned but no one has yet been charged in the fight.

The fight broke out inside the restaurant and bar about 11 p.m. between the victim and another person. Both individuals were kicked out but they reportedly began fighting outside. The suspect initially fled the area but was detained by officers. The victim, who was non-responsive, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Investigators are still looking for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call detective Rivera at (559) 621-2441.

The Elbow Room's owner could not be reached for comment Monday.
