Multiple lanes and ramps on Highway 180 will be closed starting Sunday in east-central and central Fresno for work on the" braided ramps" project.
Starting Sunday, the ramp connecting westbound Highway 180 and southbound Highway 41 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. each day through Wednesday, the California Department of Transportation said.
Beginning Wednesday, two lanes on Highway 180 will be closed, and the connector ramp from westbound Highway 180 to westbound Highway 168 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
The connector ramp from westbound Highway 168 to westbound Highway 180 will also be closed Thursday and Friday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The Cedar Avenue onramp will be closed continuously from 6 a.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Thursday.
One lane on eastbound Highway 180 will be closed Wednesday and Thursday from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Two eastbound lanes on Highway 180 between highways 168 and 41, as well as the connector ramps to north and southbound Highway 41, will be closed starting midnight Friday until noon Saturday. The lanes and connector ramps will reopen by 6 p.m. Saturday.
Caltrans advises motorists to use an alternate route to avoid traffic delays during the road work.
