A grand opening for the Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center was held Friday afternoon in Clovis. The longtime vision of supporters started to become a reality in 2011 when David McDonald, former Pelco CEO and owner, donated $2 million toward the effort. Miss Winkles, a West Highland white terrier who tragically died at age three, was Mr. McDonald's faithful companion. McDonald said, "For me, this is a dream come true. I know little Miss Winkles would certainly approve." Video: John Walker/The Fresno Bee
