'Genevieve' author signs latest books in Fresno

FresnoNovember 12, 2013

Local author Karlene Kay Ryan will hold a book signing from 2-4 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 14) at Vonda's Gifts, 7949 N. Blackstone Ave. in Fresno.

She will sign copies of her new children's books, "Genevieve Goes to School" and "Genevieve and the Moon," plus introduce three new original paintings.

In "Genevieve Goes to School," the young girl faces a momentous event — her first day of school. She is reluctant at first, but once safely at school, Genevieve discovers the joy of the new experiences of school and friendships.

"Genevieve and the Moon" has the young girl and her friends combining science and imagination to recreate the movements of the sun, moon and earth to answer her question, "Where is the moon?"

Ryan is best known for her inspirational works, including "To Find Hope" and "Thank You, God, for Robin's Egg Blue."
