Visalia firefighters put out blaze at uninhabited home

Firefighters put out a blaze early Monday morning at an uninhabited home in southwest Visalia.

According to a department report, the fire broke out just before 1:30 a.m. in a back bedroom of the home on West Sunnyside Avenue just east of Linwood Elementary School. Thirteen firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the home.

The cause of the fire wasn't immediately determined.
