Fresno's 3 college presidents to join prosperity luncheon

Three college presidents will attend the second Annual Trailblazers for Prosperity Awards Luncheon Wednesday designed to connect community-based organizations and educational institutions to promote economic prosperity, said the Southeast Fresno Community Economic Development Association, Inc.

Fresno City College president Tony Cantu, Fresno Pacific University president Dr. Pete Menjares and Fresno State president Dr. Joseph Castro will attend. The theme of the event at 11:30 a. m. at the Fresno Fairgrounds is Prosperity through Education and Training. Castro and Blake Konczal, executive director of the Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board, will be keynote speakers.

Assembly Member Henry T. Perea will attend along with Fresno City Council members Sal Quintero, Blong Xiong and Clint Olivier.
