Heald College celebrates 150 years

Heald College celebrated its 150th anniversary Friday by honoring three outstanding graduates, three local businesses and unveiling a timeline wall that highlights milestones in the college's history.

Gayle Holman, Patty Craven and Michael Rodriquez were honored at the event. Holman received her diploma from Heald College in 1982 and currently works for the Westlands Water District. Craven began her education at Heald College and is earning her MBA this year. She works for the Girl Scouts of Central California South. Rodriguez is a medical assistant at Community Regional Medical Center and was asked to apply for the physician's assistant program.

The Central California Blood Center, Decade Software and Behavioral Intervention, Inc. were honored for their work with Heald College, their use of externs and for participating in job fairs.
