Three males attempted to rob a janitor, then threw bricks at security officers Wednesday night at Central Valley General Hospital in Hanford, police said.
Two were arrested, but one suspect is still being sought by police.
Officers responding to the scene saw two people running and jumping fences into a nearby school. They arrested one of the suspects, an 18-year-old man.
Police learned three males had tried to assault the janitor, but the janitor told police he fled, dropping his portable radio, and notified hospital security. When security officers confronted them, the suspects threw large bricks at the security officers.
Officers discovered one of the males, a juvenile, hiding in the back of a business, police said. The portable radio was found near the juvenile. Both suspects were taken to Kings County Jail, where they were booked for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
The third suspect, still at large, has not been identified, but video surveillance of the incident could help, police said.
