Three high schools were awarded $9,000 after winning the 2013 Got Milk? Breakfast Challenge for Fresno County.

Fresno High School, Clovis North High School, and Central West High School were announced as the winners Thursday morning at the Fresno County Office of Education, spokeswoman Elizabeth Adams said.

Each school received $3,000 for increasing the school's breakfast consumption during a three-week period in October to help students perform better in school and stay healthy, Adams said.

Fresno, Clovis and Central Unified School Districts were among 22 districts across the state to participate in the GOT MILK? Breakfast Challenge.
