Six more Mt. Whitney students were arrested Thursday for spray painting and egging Redwood High during "Cowhide Week," Visalia police said.

But the head from the Redwood Ranger mascot uniform remains missing.

Six boys from Mt. Whitney were arrested Thursday for misdemeanor vandalism that happened Monday night and released them to their parents, police said. Five are 17, one is 16.

Wednesday, two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested in the same incident. All face school discipline.

The vandalism and the mascot-head theft involve Cowhide Week mischief and are not gang-related, Sgt. Paul Esquibel said.

The oversized head depicting a ranger wearing a large hat was stolen from a Redwood student as he was putting it into a car Monday night.
