Family HealthCare Network (FHCN) has a new partnership with Lutheran Medical Center Dental (LMC Dental) program based in Brooklyn, N.Y., that establishes a dental residency program at FHCN health centers. The dental residency program places dental residents in community health center sites for comprehensive general dentistry training.

The Porterville Fair has received a $5,000 donation from CoBank on behalf of J. "Less" Guthrie, a member of the cooperative bank's board of directors. The contribution is part of CoBank's corporate giving program, which allows employees and board members to direct bank donations to their choice of nonprofit organizations and programs.
Sanger citrus grower and general manager of Orange Cove, Sanger Citrus Association Kevin Severns was unanimously elected to serve as the 2013-14 California Citrus Mutual (CCM) board chairman. He has served on the CCM board since 2007, most recently as vice chairman.

Fresno's Leading Young Professionals (FLYP), a young professional nonprofit, announced the 2013 key community members and businesses. FLYP also awarded a scholarship to Joanie Joy who will be pursuing a post-graduate degree at Fresno Pacific University.
Fresno architect Arthur Dyson was recognized and presented with two awards for design excellence at the 2013 National Celebration of Architecture & Design Program sponsored by the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA). He won an award for his design of the Grant and Camilla Bishop residence in St. George, Utah, and another for University High School located on the Fresno State campus.

He completed his medical training in internal medicine at University of New York, Brooklyn, and a pulmonary/critical care fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is board-certified in pulmonology and critical care and sleep medicine.

He obtained a bachelor of science degree in business administration, finance from California State University, Fresno in 2007 and is currently enrolled to obtain his agricultural executive, master of business administration degree.
