A health and fitness fair offering seminars and products — including alternative therapies — is coming to Fresno.

The Total Health Expo will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Fresno Convention Center's Valdez Hall in downtown Fresno.

The fair will present speakers, exhibits, demonstrations and screenings, featuring traditional and alternative therapies and products.

Admission is free.

Tom Chavez, the Expo producer and a former Fresnan, said the event is designed to educate the community on health issues and provide services for those in need.

"Fresno has not had a large, major health event like this for over a decade," Chavez said.

Among the speakers is Hidy Hiraoka, founder/director of the Cosmo Power Research Institute in Oakland. He will speak on "Instantly Stop Addictions, Allergies, and Stress." Hiraoka emphasizes "energy healing" as a solution.

Hank Levin, an author/therapist/lecturer, will speak on energy therapies: "Using Electronic Kinesiology to Boost the Results of Energy & Tapping Therapies."

Chavez said: "Historically, you think health, hospitals and clinics, and that's all valid. But there are alternatives."
