A graduation ceremony to recognize the successful completion of drug court will be held Friday at the B.F. Sisk Courthouse, the Fresno County Superior Court said.
For 141 people, graduation means they have completed or are scheduled to finish two drug courts that lasted from last November through this December. Public defender Robert Delmare will be the master of ceremonies and probation officers from both drug courts will present the certificates.
Both programs take a minimum of 18 months to complete. To graduate, participants must maintain sobriety and achieve goals set for education, housing, life-functioning skills and employment.
The event will be from 3 to 4 p.m. at the courthouse at 1130 O St. in downtown Fresno.
