Kids who register for Operation: Fresno Shape Up on Saturday will learn from Lorenzo Neal and others about healthy eating and exercise, United Way of Fresno County said.
United Way of Fresno County, Fresno State athletics and the former NFL player will join community partners at Warmerdam Field at Fresno State for the event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m to teach kids ages 6-14. Personal trainers will show the kids how to do exercises correctly and dieticians will offer tips on how to eat healthy.
The kids will put together a healthy eating and exercise plan that will be tracked throughout the year.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided and nonprofit organizations will have tables to offer information about health and exercise.
Last year more than 100 children registered and space is limited. Parents or a guardian must register by calling (559) 824-0955 or emailing Sevag Tateosian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
