A 30-year-old Fresno man died early Wednesday when he lost control of his car and crashed on Jensen Avenue just west of the city, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the CHP, the man was driving a 1997 Infiniti west on Jensen about 1:45 a.m. at an unknown rate of speed. He had just passed Marks Avenue when he veered onto the dirt shoulder, overcorrected and rolled down the opposite embankment.
The man, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the Infiniti and pinned under it. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
No other details were released.
The man was not identified pending notification of family.
