Sierra National Forest officials have partially lifted fire restrictions in light of cooler days, Forest Service spokeswoman Rebecca Garcia said.
Fire restrictions in low and moderate fire hazard areas are canceled but restrictions remain in effect for "high hazard areas," including Jerseydale, Miami, North Fork, Batterson, Mountain Rest and Trimmer.
Current fire restrictions require that camp fires be lit only in designated areas. For more information, contact one of the U.S. Forest Service offices: North Fork (559) 877-2218, Prather (559) 855-5355, or Clovis (559) 297-0706.
