Hanford police have arrested three people in connection with an assault and robbery of a 20-year-old man on Friday night.
Witnesses told police that four juveniles were beating a man in the 1500 block of Hall Street just before 11 p.m. Officers found the victim lying in the street with injuries to his face.
The man was taken to Adventist Medical Center for treatment. He later told police that he was approached by four unknown men wanting to fight him. As he attempted to get away, he was struck in the face causing him to fall, police said. The victim lost consciousness as the suspects continued hitting him. Then the suspects took his wallet and cellular phone and ran away.
Police found the four suspects near 11th Avenue and Highway 198 about 45 minutes after the incident was reported. The victim's wallet and phone were on two of the suspects, police said.
One juvenile and two adults were arrested.
