"The Witness Wore Red: The 19th Wife Who Brought Polygamous Cult Leaders to Justice" by Rebecca Musser with M. Bridget Cook: Musser was the 19th wife of Rulon Jeffs; she was a teenager, he was 85. She ultimately escaped but was still consumed by the knowledge of underage marriages and abuse in her former church family. Musser tells how she was able to bring the offending church members to justice.

Free Tutors: Need help with your homework? Volunteer tutors (all honor high school students) offer one-on-one tutoring for grades K-12 in all subjects. Appointments recommended but not required. Clovis Mystery Book Club: Ninth Year Birthday Party & Potluck. This month's selection is "Edge of Evil" by J. A. Jance. This Ali Reynolds novel deals with discrimination, terminal illness, and blogging. First in series. Sunday, Oct. 20, from 2-4 p.m. at the Clovis Regional Library.
