Three men were arrested this week in connection with a fatal shooting and beating outside a Fresno bar last month.
Brandon Cervantez, 30, of Fresno was found shot outside Nick's in central Fresno just after 2 a.m. Sept. 27. He died at Community Regional Medical Center.
Kevin Ramirez, 22, and Daniel Rozadilla and Raziel Cruz, both 25, were arrested Thursday night.
Fresno police detectives say Ramirez shot Cervantez, and that Rozadilla and Cruz were among a group that "severely" beat him beforehand, rendering Cervantez unconscious before he was shot. All three are gang members or associates of gang members, police said.
The arrests were made after search warrants were served at a central Fresno house and apartment and at a southeast Fresno apartment, detectives said.
There have been 33 murders in Fresno this year. At the same time last year, there were 43, police said.
