About 33,500 tickets had been sold as of Thursday, leaving plenty for Saturday's Fresno State-UNLV football game -- a matchup of two of the co-leaders in the West Division of the Mountain West Conference.
The Bulldogs have averaged 35,796 in three home dates this season. That includes a sellout of 41,031 on Sept. 20 for a 41-40 victory over Boise State -- their most recent home game.
Fresno State is 9-0 under second-year coach Tim DeRuyter at Bulldog Stadium while averaging 525.8 yards and 47.4 points per game.
"We'd love to have another sellout," DeRuyter said Thursday. "I think we put a pretty compelling product on the field, we've got a Heisman Trophy candidate (in quarterback Derek Carr), we're in the Top 20 and we've got an undefeated team from the Mountain West coming in here battling for first place, so hopefully people will put all that together and say they need to be here on Saturday night."
