The Kings County Sheriff's Department Wednesday provided new details about a SWAT action Tuesday night in Raisin City that ended with the arrest of a murder suspect.
The action, which involved deputies from Kings and Fresno counties, ended with the apprehension of Juan Ramon Gonzalez, 25, in connection with the death of Jesus "Jesse" Salvador Reyes, Kings County Assistant Sheriff Dave Putnam said.
Reyes' body was found Oct. 6 in the 9500 block of Denver Avenue in Laton.
Deputies went to the 9100 block of Oleander Street in Raisin City in search of Gonzalez, who was taken into custody after a warrant was served by the SWAT team. Deputies also seized three firearms and discovered a large marijuana growing operation.
Reyes used to live in the home and evidence found there implicated Gonzalez in Reyes' death, authorities said
Gonzalez was booked into the Kings County jail. He is on felony probation in Fresno County and could be charged with weapons violations and cultivating marijuana.
