The median income of American households dropped by $2,627 during President Obama's first term and the number of people in poverty rose by 6.7 million. Some 47 million Americans are now in poverty, a 16.73% increase from when Obama took office. The percentages are higher for Hispanics (25.6%) and blacks (27%).
Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97% to 99% and younger women by 55% to 62%. What economic books is the president reading? Maybe, no books at all.
