Clovis police are asking for the public's help in finding 11-year-old Amber Hayden, who has been missing since Monday. The sixth-grader, who attends Reagan Elementary School in Clovis, ran away after leaving school, police said.
Detectives don't believe foul play is involved but are concerned she may not have brought prescription medications she needs.
She was last seen at or just outside of her school campus on Tuesday, police said, and told a friend she didn't want to go home. Detectives believe she may be staying at a friend's house in the Clovis area or somewhere in the Hanford area.
Hayden is described as Caucasian, about 5-foot, 2-inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and pants.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Clovis Police Department at (559) 324-2800.
Hayden's father lives in Fresno, police said. Her mother lives in Hanford.
