Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday appointed two Valley residents and reappointed another to the San Joaquin River Conservancy board.
Fresno resident Paul Gibson, 58, and Madera resident Carolyn Nolan, 72, are new appointees.
Gibson, a Republican, is co-chairman of Guarantee Real Estate and was owner of Guarantee Corporations from 1991 to 2013. He also has been a farmer since 1986.
Nolan, a Democrat, has been chief financial officer at Central Coating Company Inc. since 1970 and has been a member of the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust since 1988 and served on its board from 1993 until 2011.
Brown also reappointed Fresno resident Bryn Forhan, a 54-year-old Democrat who has served on the conservancy board since 2001.
The positions don't require Senate confirmation and they are unpaid.
