A 75-year-old woman died Wednesday afternoon in Visalia in a traffic accident has been identified as Elizabeth Philippe of Visalia.
Police believe the accident was caused by a medical problem, and the Tulare County Coroner's Office is investigating.
Philippe was driving east on Oak Avenue just east of West Street about 1:30 p.m. when her Honda Accord hit an unoccupied vehicle on the side of the street, police said. The woman, who was the only person in the car, was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
