A workshop on how small businesses can attract investment in their innovations will be offered Wednesday in Fresno by the University of California at Merced Small Business Development Center Regional Network and California State University, Fresno.
The session is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Inyo Kern room of the UC Center, 550 E. Shaw Ave. in Fresno. The cost is $35 per person and includes a box lunch. The workshop will focus on using grant funds to advance business research and developing strategies for commercialization of ideas.
The speaker is high-tech consultant Marie Talnak, who has more than 30 years of experience in research universities and laboratories.
The program is also being presented from noon to 5 p.m. today at UC Merced's Garden View Dining Room, 5200 N. Lake Road in Merced.
