2 named to Fresno State advisory board

Fresno State President Joseph I. Castro appointed two alumnae Wednesday to the University Advisory Board.

Gena Strang-Behrens and Zoua Vang join a panel of community members who provide advice to Castro regarding the improvement and development of the university.

Strang-Behrens, a Hanford native, graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminology from Fresno State in 1988 and now works as a sales associate for Ideasplus Promotional Products in Fresno.

Vang, a Fresno native, received her master's degree in mass communication from Fresno State and now heads the policy and communications department for First 5 Fresno County.
