A Kings County jury took about an hour Tuesday to find a man guilty of 15 counts of child molestation, the Kings County District Attorney's Office said.
Juan Cervantes-Gonzalez, 26, faces up to 219 years in state prison when he is sentenced Oct. 4.
After a six-day trial, the jury found him guilty of aggravated child molestation by force, including rape, oral copulation and sexual penetration, and child molestation by force.
Prosecutor Rebecca Speer-Mathews said he choked the victim's mother after she walked in on him as he was raping her 10-year-old daughter. The jury found him guilty of corporal injury to a cohabitant.
The molestation occurred over four months, the prosecutor's office said. Until his arrest, Cervantes-Gonzalez had no criminal record.
