Fire crews kept busy during Labor Day weekend battling two fires in Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Forest.
The Windy Peak fire in Kings Canyon National Park is 50% contained and has burned 640 acres, park officials said Monday.
The blaze was spotted Aug. 23 north of the Middle Fork of the Kings River near Simpson Meadow. Officials said there are no threats to people or building.
The Fish fire, which has burned 2,060 acres in the Sequoia National Forest, east of Porterville, is 90% contained, park officials said Monday.
