Clovis Crossing shopping center expanding with addition of BevMo, Chick-fil-A

Clovis is getting a BevMo! store and a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

The big-name businesses are coming to the Clovis Crossing Regional Shopping Center, at Herndon and Clovis avenues, but it may be several months before they open.

BevMo! is a national retailer that sells wine, beer, hard alcohol, food and bar accessories such as wine openers. It has a store in Fresno on North Blackstone Avenue.

The Clovis BevMo! will be built between Petco and Walmart, confirmed Clovis Council Member Nathan Magsig. It may open in November.

Work has started on one building between Petco and Walmart and several more will be built in the same area, Magsig said.

Chick-fil-A will be built closer to Herndon Avenue, between McDonald's and Carl's Jr. It's the first Chick-fil-A for Clovis. A stand-alone Chick-fil-A opened in the River Park area in 2008 and Fresno State has a Chick-fil-A in its food court.

Other new additions to the center include a Denny's currently under construction on Herndon Avenue. City officials and the developer also report that businesses committed to come to the center include Korean barbecue restaurant Shila, a kebob restaurant, Jamba Juice, Yum Yum Yogurt, Sally Beauty Supply, Pacific Dental, a nail salon, Wingstop, Kay Jewelers and a Kirkland's home decor store.
