Nomination period for Valley races closes on Friday

The Fresno BeeAugust 8, 2013

The nomination period for offices up for election in November ends today for Tulare, Madera, Fresno and Kings counties.

A variety of mostly special districts are on the Nov. 5 general election ballot. Among the offices up for election are Visalia City Council, Visalia school board, and two West Hills Community College District seats. (Note: the original version of this story incorrectly reported that two seats in State Center Community College District are up for election.)

The nomination period will be extended to Wednesday for races in which the incumbent chooses not to seek a new term.
