A Fresno State student was elected to a statewide post with the California State Student Association.

During the group's July meeting in Long Beach, Daniel Clark -- a 23-year-old majoring in business at Fresno State -- was elected vice president of legislative affairs.

The group also decided to have Fresno State host the California State Student Association's November meeting, spokesperson Clay Crocket said.

CSSA is one of the oldest statewide student associations in the United States, Crocket said.
