Hit the ice: The stations in the NBC Sports Group will broadcast 103 NHL regular-season games during the 2013-14 season, featuring 13 games on NBC and 90 games on NBC Sports Network. All games will be streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra. Schedule highlights include:
NBC Sports Network's first game of the season has the Washington Capitals visiting the 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks.
NBC Sports Network will offer games on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights throughout the season. Beginning in January, a Sunday game will be added most weeks.
Hot air: Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time" will take its place among the legends, flying down the route of the "87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" on Nov. 28. Finn and Jake, "Adventure Time's" resident stars, will take to the sky.
Created by Pendleton Ward, "Adventure Time" brings the epic tale of two unlikely heroes Finn, the human, and his best friend Jake, the dog, to life as they embark on escapades all over the mystical Land of Ooo.
Getting warmer: AMC's new unscripted series, "Owner's Manual" starring Ed Sanders ("Extreme Makeover Edition") and Marcus Hunt (HGTV's "Hammer Heads), makes its series debut with two back-to-back episodes starting at 10 p.m. Aug. 15.
"Owner's Manual" is a series that tests one of the most common divides among man: those who read the owner's manual, and those who do not. Representing each side of this divide, Ed and Marcus are put to the test in a weekly challenge where they attempt to operate some of the most dangerous and powerful machinery and technology – from a stunt plane to a 142-ton locomotive, and more.
