Edison Computech's video commercial in the Kleenex Xperiments program went online Tuesday, Fresno Unified School District announced.

Edison Computech was one of five schools nationwide picked for the program, which encourages real-world application of scientific methods in experiments. Students from each of the five schools were filmed conducting absorbency tests on Kleenex's new facial tissue.

Computech students created and submitted more than 20 experiment proposals to test the absorbency and durability of the tissue.  As part of the recognition, Kleenex gave the school $5,000 to use in science classrooms.

Also during the 2012-2013 school year, Computech was also named to the California Business for Education Excellence Honor Roll and to the CBEE STEM Honor Roll.  And a team of Computech students placed first in the middle school electric car competition at the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C.
