FresnoJune 13, 2013

Four people have been displaced after a fire burned part of a single-story, six-unit apartment building in Clovis on Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 1:20 p.m. at the Chateau Monterey Apartments near Willow and Gettysburg avenues, and quickly spread through the building via a shared attic space, Clovis fire spokesman Chad Fitzgerald said.

Crews quickly put out the blaze that caused an estimated $300,000 in damages, he said.

No residents or firefighters were injured in the fire.
