Kastner Intermediate School in north Fresno is hosting 28 educators from northeast Thailand on Wednesday morning.

All of the visitors are involved in educational system management and development, mostly in the province of Maha Sarakham and nearby cities, Clovis Unified School District spokeswoman Kelly Avants said. Several are school directors and assistant directors; some are from the provincial educational service area offices; and other members of the team are elementary and secondary school teachers. The educators are coming through Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University. Their observations at Kastner will be modeled in their own project development in Thailand.

The Kastner stop includes spending time in classrooms, a 20-minute Q&A with principal Johnny Alvarado and an "American-style Burger Bash" lunch with Kastner's entire staff.
