The Fresno BeeMarch 27, 2013

The San Joaquin River Parkway can now be accessed with your fingertips.

A new mobile app featuring visitor information for 10 Parkway properties, maps and directions, river flow information and useful links, is now available for iPhones and iPads.

Designed by Spencer Brown, Parkway Mobile is free and available through the iTunes App Store.

Parkway properties currently open weekends for public fishing and boating are Ball Ranch, Camp Pashayan and Sycamore Island (also open Fridays).

"We wanted to provide a free, simple and easy-to-use tool for visitors to access the Parkway," said Dave Koehler, executive director of the nonprofit San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust.
