1 shot near convenience store in southeast Fresno

8:05 p.m.: A man who was shot Friday evening in the parking lot of the AM/PM convenience on Kings Canyon Road near Winery Avenue was in critical condition, Fresno police Lt. Jose Garza said.

A group of men in the parking lot were having an argument about 6:30 p.m. when one man shot the victim at least several times, Garza said. Several witnesses told police that the group ran south on Winery Avenue toward East Lane Avenue.

The man was taken to Community Regional Medical Center and was in critical condition, Garza said.

No additional information was immediately available.


One person was shot Friday evening near the AM/PM convenience store on Kings Canyon Road near Winery Avenue, according to Fresno County Emergency Medical Services.

Reports of a person with multiple gunshot wounds came in at 6:34 p.m.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
