SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- A Marin County man has been arrested for allegedly waving a sharpened deer antler at sheriff's deputies investigating a report about unruly conduct at a relative's trailer.

Marin County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jamie Scardina says 22-year-old Timothy Cornett refused to come out of the trailer when the deputies arrived and yelled "Shoot me!" at them while wielding the unusual weapon.

Scardina says the deputies were called to the Tomales ranch on which the trailer sits on Tuesday night by someone who reported that a man was breaking windows and throwing things.

Cornett was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a weapon and vandalism. He remained jailed on $50,000 bail Thursday.

Scardina says the man's relatives reported he might have been under the influence of drugs.
