The U.S. Marshal's service says a man who escaped from Fresno County sheriff's custody in February is back in jail after he was captured in Garden Grove.

Thanousone Volarat, 33, was able to get away while he was receiving medical attention at a facility near Blackstone and Dakota avenues with the help of several confederates.

Marshal Albert Najera said police began watching a home Wednesday night about 9:30 p.m. , where Volarat was found in a clothes hamper. He tried to escape again before he was taken into custody.

Volarat is awaiting trial on federal drug charges.
