SAN MATEO, Calif. -- Additional security is expected a San Mateo high school after an anonymous threat was made against the campus on Facebook.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports ( http://bit.ly/WGaDr3) an Aragon High School student who administers a "confessional" Facebook page notified administrators Wednesday after noticing a message warning of action against the school the next day.

Authorities would not elaborate on the threat but the message was described as "rambling." Police said officers would be on campus Thursday to provide security.

Kirk Black, associate superintendent for the San Mateo Union High School District, tells the newspaper the Facebook page was set up a few days ago as a place where kids could make anonymous confessions. He says most confessions have been innocent.

The page was taken down Wednesday.

Nearby Baywood Elementary School was also notified of the threat.
