Freshman Jill Compton tossed her second career shutout in Fresno State's 1-0 softball victory over Pacific on Wednesday at Bulldog Diamond.
Compton, a right-hander from Oceano, allowed three hits and one walk while striking out four.
She got into trouble only once, allowing a one-out single and double in the fourth inning, but Compton (7-9) got Nicole Zapotoczny to foul out to third and struck out Gabby Goyette.
The Bulldogs (18-13) scored in the third as Kapri Angotti led off with a single, advanced on Brenna Moss' sacrifice and scored on Diane Runge's single.
Nick Sorenson shot a Central Valley Conference record 6-under 66 at Riverside Golf Course to lead Reedley College to a win at mini-tournament No. 5.
Sorenson was one of three golfers to shoot under par to help the Tigers finish 1-under 359, 34 strokes ahead of West Hills. Teammate James Hewitt (71) and West Hills' Rodney Lafaye (70) also broke par.
Reedley also received 1-over 73s from T.J. Masters and Sergio Rios.
